Interview With Chief Inspector Dean

After numerous emails back and forth we managed to arrange a video interview with Chief Inspector Graham Dean of the Metropolitan Police. We asked similar questions as we had asked the Chief Superintendent but just tailored them to the Chief Inspector as he was the first public order officer on the scene in Tottenham. Unfortunately when we got to New Scotland Yard a fire door had been opened accidentally and consequently there was a piercing noise throughout the whole facility which wouldn't go away so we had to film with it in the background. It's noticeable but we decided that it was better to get an interview with the noise than no interview at all and hopefully it won't ruin the footage.

On the whole the interview went well and we gained some valuable footage and the Chief Inspector said some things which will come across as quite hard hitting in the documentary such as 'I spent, well, nearly all of August awake' which shows the sheer magnitude of the riots.
